WRECKS
The descent into the blue. The anticipation. And then, slowly, the outline of a wreck emerging from the depths. A wreck dive often begins this way, yet every encounter feels different.
Wrecks are fascinating places, filled with history and stories — some well known, others almost forgotten, all preserved beneath the surface.
But they are also places that deserve respect. Many shipwrecks came at the cost of human lives, and behind the steel, the artifacts and the remains of another time are the stories of the people who were once part of them.
Through my images, I try to preserve a glimpse of those stories and bring them back to the surface.
CAVES
“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” – The Matrix
Cave diving can be addictive. Once you experience it, it is difficult to let go.
There are few words that can describe what it feels like to be deep inside the Earth, suspended in water so clear it seems almost invisible, surrounded by formations shaped by nature over millions of years.
Hidden from the surface, these extraordinary places have been preserved in absolute darkness. And darkness is an essential part of the experience. Without the lights we carry with us, none of it would be visible: colours, shapes and details would remain unseen.
Through this photographic series, I wanted to reveal some of the colours and wonders hidden within caves and mines around the world. I wanted to bring light into the darkness.
SEA
From tropical waters bursting with colour to the more subtle beauty of the Mediterranean, the sea reveals an extraordinary variety of life.
Fish, corals and gorgonians, nudibranchs, crustaceans and countless other creatures inhabit a world that is constantly changing, where colours, shapes and light create endless photographic possibilities.
This gallery brings together encounters from different seas and oceans around the world — from the Red Sea and the Celebes Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean.
A glimpse into the extraordinary diversity of life beneath the surface.
FRESHWATER
Lakes and rivers reveal a very different underwater world — raw, wild and often unforgiving.
Much like the mountains surrounding them, these environments have a character of their own, shaped by cold water, changing visibility, dramatic light and the seasons.
This series explores the freshwater environments of Switzerland and northern Italy, revealing unexpected life, submerged landscapes and small hidden treasures in places that may seem familiar from the surface, yet become an entirely different world below.
OUTDOOR
Not every journey takes place underwater.
Mountains, glaciers and remote landscapes offer a different kind of exploration — shaped by altitude, weather, changing light and the seasons. From nights spent beneath a sky full of stars to long days in the mountains, these are places where nature sets the rules and every experience feels different.
This series brings together moments from above the surface, driven by the same curiosity that takes me underwater: the desire to explore, observe and capture the beauty of wild places.
